ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY STATEMENT
Allinson Print & Supplies are committed to pursuing an environmental policy
designed for us to leave as little impact on our environment as possible from
our trading activities whilst also promoting economic growth.
Purchasing
All products are to be purchased from established respected companies with a proven environmental record and policy. Paper is to be harvested from sustainable forests and
water used in paper manufacture to be returned to source cleaner than at extraction.
Production
Through training and production policy reviews we will ensure the minimal wastage of
materials and energy required to produce jobs to the standards required.
Despatch
All outgoing packaging is to be kept to a minimum. All in-coming packaging is to be
collected and stored for recycling. Outside carriers are to be reputable companies with a
sound environmental policy. Our own vans are to be maintained to the highest standards
and routes planned to ensure the shortest travel distance possible.
Sales
A decision has been taken to cut our field sales representation to reduce the amount of
vehicles that are driving around the country and to use other forms of advertising such as
our enhanced website, telesales and targeted mail shot campaigns.
General
Our newly constructed premises have been designed and built to be as environmentally friendly and energy efficient as possible. Our resulting energy costs have reduced
substantially even allowing for the major increase in supply costs. All staff are made aware
of saving energy by the switching off of machines, lights, heaters etc. when not required.
All PCs and printers are switched off in the evening.
We are confident that by following these principles we can lessen our environmental
impact and increase economic growth and profitability.
